Housing
Located within the Bornova Professors’ Housing Complex, Profesörler House is approached through a layered garden path framed by steel pergolas and dense vegetation. Designed as more than an entrance, this sequence becomes a composed moment of arrival, where carefully placed lighting unites landscape and architecture in a calm rhythm.
The interior is defined by transparency, tactile materials, and a warm, restrained palette that ensures a fluid spatial continuity. Steel-framed glass partitions enhance openness, while the softly illuminated staircase acts as a sculptural connector between floors. The relationship between the kitchen and living space is articulated through full-height glass panels, allowing visual connection without compromising spatial calm. Custom dark wood cabinetry, Italian ceramic surfaces, and filtered daylight elevate everyday routines with a sense of quiet luxury.
Full-height sliding panels dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, extending the living spaces into the landscaped garden and outdoor seating area. The monolithic façade and limited material palette emphasize volumetric clarity and contextual integration. In the master suite, a refined dialogue of form, texture, and lighting creates a serene and purposeful atmosphere.
