Located in Çeşme, İzmir, Mamurbaba House is composed of two intersecting volumes positioned parallel to the road on a 1,400 m² site. The 500 m² residence is organized across three levels and accommodates an extensive program including six bedrooms, six bathrooms, two kitchens, and two living rooms. The architectural form was shaped by the dual need to maximize sea views to the north while ensuring privacy within a dense residential context.
The initial rectangular volume is split and subtly rotated to create a semi-open terrace that anchors the relationship between the pool, olive trees, and communal spaces. Innovative hybrid reinforced concrete and steel systems allow the upper floor to hover above this opening, enhancing both spatial drama and openness. A central void is transformed into a dining space that acts as the organizational and visual core of the house, directly connected to the kitchen and outdoor areas.
Extensive glass façades establish fluid transitions between interior and exterior. The restrained palette of white plaster, black aluminum, and vertical wooden cladding creates strong contrasts with the surrounding greenery, resulting in a refined, calm, and oasis-like residential atmosphere.
